- Al's French Frys was started by Al and Genevieve Rusterholz in the late 1940's. Their fabulous french frys quickly made Al's into a Burlington-area institution. Below you can see the original South Burlington building, which had an open front counter and no inside seating. The surrounding farmland is urban now.
