This house made of locally sourced stone was completed in 1722,by a stonemason and his wife, and has been lived in by descendants of the original family ever since. There are numerous 18th century artifacts. Other historically designated places built by him, (Knox Headquarters) or one of his sons (Hill Hold Museum) nearby.5/5(1)

Apr 11, 2016 · The Bull Stone House. Located in Orange County, New York, The Bull Stone House is a ten-room stone house that took thirteen years to complete. William Bull and Sarah Wells built the house in 1722; they were among the first settlers in Orange County. The house is extremely durable, and even endured an earthquake in 1728 during its construction.
