EAHS is the only no kill shelter facility within Russell County, Alabama. EAHS strives to rescue dogs that would otherwise be euthanize. Among its activities are a volunteer program, and a foster-pet program.

- About Us. East Alabama Humane Society began as a foster based humane society with outdoor kennels in April 2009. Not long after, a warehouse building was donated, and is where we are currently located. Unfortunately, needed a lot of work to make it into a shelter facility. It took three years of fundraising, and renovating to complete.
