- May 16, 2005 · i don't have a horse in this race, but I know from experience that the Emmons Guitar Company has always been slow to respond to customers. It was true when I bought mine in 1978 and it's true today. I expect that if and when they go out of business, there will be a formal announcement. The fact that their web site is still up is good enough for me.
