- Lodmell Vineyards is located on bluffs above the Snake River near Fishhook Park in Walla Walla County. It has a southern sloping exposure. The soil is a Ritzville loam underlaid by fractured basalt. Our site is hotter and dryer with better air cirulation than sites located closer to Walla Walla.

- In the late 1880’s, Kristie’s great-grandfather, William Struthers, planted wheat on land by the lower Snake River, which is now the home to Lodmell Vineyards (the Lodmell Cellars wine label features a coiled snake). What started as a fifteen-acre plot of grape vines has now expanded to 30 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Syrah and Semillon.
